Grant Proposals

Grantwriting Philosophy

As a writer, I have always been passionate about using my skills to make a positive impact on society. Over my years at The City University of New York School of Professional Studies, I have worked on a variety of projects aimed at supporting marginalized populations, from writing articles that raise awareness about social issues to developing educational materials that help underresourced communities access vital resources.

However, I have come to realize that one of the most effective ways to drive meaningful change is through grant writing. By securing funding for programs that work with marginalized populations, I can help us expand our reach, develop new programs, and provide critical support to those in need.

In particular, I am committed to focusing on grant proposals that target the needs of marginalized communities, including people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and others who face systemic barriers to accessing resources and opportunities. By bringing attention to these populations and advocating for their needs, I hope to help create a more equitable and just society.

To achieve this goal, I have spent years honing my grant writing skills, studying the best practices for crafting compelling proposals that capture the attention of funders and clearly articulate the impact that the proposed project will have. I have also developed a network of contacts both within CUNY SPS and beyond, including organizations that serve marginalized populations and funders who are committed to supporting these groups.

Ultimately, my goal is to use my writing skills to make a positive impact on the world, and I believe that focusing on grant proposals for issues relating to marginalized populations is one of the most effective ways to do so. I am excited to continue this work and to help create a more just and equitable society for all.
